Alaska Department of Fish and Game Activities
The 2025 field season brings exciting developments for the ADF&G restoration team. We will be launching our 3-year Yukon River Drainage culvert survey project. This project will inventory and assess fish passage conditions on roads in the North Star Borough and adjacent major highways including the Elliot, Dalton, and Steese Highway corridors. The data collected will be entered into the Fish Passage Improvement Database and reports and photographs will be made available on the ADF&G Fish Resource Monitor to allow anyone to locate fish passage barriers, view photographs, and read and print survey data and notes. In addition, a report that prioritizes culverts for replacement will be produced. We are currently looking to hire two seasonal technicians to be based out of Fairbanks. The openings can be found online at Workplace Alaska.
